CBA is one of the largest privately owned Quantity Surveying practices in Scotland with offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow employing over 30 staff. Their core business is the provision of quantity surveying services with particular emphasis on construction costs and procurement advice relating to building projects.
Situation:
BCC were appointed by CBA to do a full audit of water usage and identify areas for savings.
Results:
Our initial audit of their water charges revealed higher than expected water charges in both their Edinburgh and Glasgow offices. Our calculations demonstrated that significant savings could be made by changing to an alternative method of paying for water services.
As a result of these changes we have been able to save the client over £1,800 per annum, representing over 50% of their annual spend on water services in their head office. We are still working on their Glasgow offices.
